SPEL is a partner of the European project TheAMa - The Arts of Maths, which has the duration of two years and includes partners from Sweden, Belgium, Cyprus and Greece.

The main objective of the project is the definition, analysis and development of innovative approaches to the teaching of Mathematics through Art, thus contributing to the introduction of creative and innovative methodologies in this subject.

The final product of the project aims to provide teachers and students of the Basic Education (equivalent to Key Stage 4) and Secondary Education (equivalente to Further Education) knowledge about the relationship between Mathematics and Art and the practical applicability of Mathematics in everyday life.

The results of the project will be:
• The creation of an e-library with up-to-date content on the teaching of Mathematics using various arts;
• The development of an online training platform and course that will provide five innovative and intuitive training modules;
• The elaboration of a digital manual entitled "The Art of Maths - best off".
